I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
